Weekend Recap

Well, it's not exactly a weekend recap, since I posted on Saturday and it's already Tuesday. So we'll call it the "SunMon recap" with a little bit of Saturday thrown in.

Saturday:

T and I worked through our issue somewhat. Things are still tenuous, but we know that we want to continue to work on things. We ended up having a HUGE fight where I was crying and she was mad - I actually hung up on her! Of course I called her right back to apologize. I ended up driving to her place so we could talk about things. We initially left it very ambiguously where we were going to take some time to "think it over", which as you know is never very good. But after I got back to my house (actually, just outside my house), we were talking on the phone and she asked me to come back. I think she needed that to see what it would really be like without me or at least leaving it on a final note - if that makes sense.

For OKMG, I made her some cream of wheat. I also got a trial subscription (2 weeks) to Netflix so that we can blitz out a bunch of movies that we haven't seen. I got it specifically so that we could watch movies that she wanted to see, because when we go to the movies, it's usually about what I want to watch.

Sunday:

We had a bunch of things to do, so, even though we spent much of the day in each other's presence, we didn't spend any time together. This is something we are realizing that we both need to work on. We are continuosly in the habit of placing other things in priority of us and our relationship and we always suffer because of it.

This weekend was a good trial run because it showed us that we have to be serious about this. So next weekend, the phones are getting shut off. We're not talking to anybody, not my mom, not her roommate, not her friends with crises, not our family friends who want to treat us to dinner - NOBODY.

For OKMG, I woke her up very nicely (yup!), although, it was after much prodding on her part throughout the morning. Man, when I'm asleep, nothing - NOTHING - can wake me up. Lord, I am so difficult.

Monday:

Wee! We had court and it was successful! (Check out the backstory here.)

We were trying to coordinate me sleeping over, but it didn't work out. I phoned her to let her know that I loved her so much and that I am glad we are working on things,etc. etc.
