A new addition...

...to the PF Blog community!

Congratulations folks, it's a girl!

Hello all, my name is Sunshine and this is my Blog.

My Blog is to be about my life - My fabulous life, that is.

*I have a great job - I work for a Public Health non-profit and...
*I make a lot of money doing it! And because of this...
*I travel a lot, personally and professionally - I've been around the world, many times.
*and I own an awesome house - Not too big, not too small...
*In a great location - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
*and I drive a nice car – 06 Corvette.
*I'm in a great relationship with a wonderful person.
*I have five beautiful children that cause me no trouble at all and are just darling.
*I have a great figure and I eat what I want and don’t exercise.

Who am I kidding? Y’all, most points on that list are a gross lie or, at least, a bit of a stretch.

Work: I work in Sales as an administrator. While that sounds nice, what it means is that I push paper from one place to another. It’s unbelievably boring! Thankfully, I am actually starting another job soon that, I hope, will not be so boring.

Money: Sorry to say, but I do not have gobs of money. Neither sales admin (old job) nor Program assistants at state universities (new job) make good money. So, I do not have a large flow of money coming in (Unless I have a long lost relative that y’all know about who loves me more than anyone else in my large extended family.). Additionally, while I have my head wrapped pretty well on my financial state now, that was not always the case, and, consequently, I have some serious credit card debt.

Travel: Because of the above shortcoming (y’know, lack of money), I do not travel, at all! This is a sad, sad state because I love to travel. I swear that I have a restless gene that is genetically programmed to make me want to visit anywhere but here. Oh, and those travel websites and travel guidebooks that I read to help ease the pain, they don’t help, they just expose me to more places that I want to travel (Papua New Guinea is where? Oh man! I can’t wait to go!) I have started to save a little bit out of my paychecks to build a travel fund, but at the rate that I’m going - $10 every two weeks – the Taj Mahal will have turned to dust before I get to visit. I have been to Okinawa, Japan, England, and Ecuador. However, I was a military brat, so Okinawa and England don’t count!

Location: Nope, no house. I do live Northwest of Ft. Lauderdale, so that’s not so bad. At least I can party!

Car: Ha! 1999 Toyota Corolla, Baby!

Relationship: This is not so far from the truth. We’ve been together for over 5 years. We recently hit a pretty rocky patch. It was the kind where we were thinking “stay together and work it out or go our separate ways”. We have renewed our promises to each other and seem to be doing well. I can’t help having a nagging feeling, though…

Children: I do have five furry children. 2 cats, Yogi and Luna, which I share with my mom (who lives with us – Oy! That’s a whole ‘nother story!), 2 dogs, Wilbur and Skittles, and an adorable gerbil named Fleur.

Fabulous figure: LOL OK, I’m a few pounds over weight, but not too much. I lost 40 pounds a few years ago, so I actually like the way that I look now, and, no, I don’t exercise Thankyouverymuch!

So, there you have it!
