Wednesday

Alliterative alliterations

Yesterday, unfortunately, did not go as planned. The candles were lit and the evening progressed to an agreeable ending, but Sky's beautiful poetry (really, it's good stuff) was not read, the wine was not drank (drunk?), and the connection was not made.

I have a long, loud, loquacious (What? I was going for the alliterative...) rant, but I'm not going to put it here. I will say this, though:

RANT

OK, well now that that's over, moving on, sort of...

We talked about it a bit this morning and that did not go over well, at all. Without going into details, I just, uh, arrgh! It just sucks when two people (me and T) want the same thing but it ends up working out differently and we come out with two completely different perspectives.

Baby, I'm sorry! We'll work it out! (She's reading today!)

This is just another case of us putting other people/things first. Now, it's a Wednesday, so it's understandable (somewhat). But for Saturday, we have agreed no phones, no interuptions, no nothing!

I tried to do the marker on the mirror-thing and the marker was dry! But, it just went along with the morning and, obviously, I wasn't supposed to leave a note on the mirror. It might not have been taken to its fullest meaning...

We did leave it on a positive note, though. She drove me to work. She's on campus - I gave her my staff parking tag(!) and some money for snacks - and we are going to do lunch.

Life is not a destination, but a journey.

(Can I tell you that I had to write that a bunch of times, because I kept switching it around. Is that indicative of my situation or what? This is a process that I need to go through and the finale will be what it is...)
