Deck the Halls...

So, it was the weekend. Yes,I know, big surprise. Oh hush, it's Monday and I'm getting warmed up.

It was a great weekend. We have had some potentially bad news about our dog, Wilbur (awful actually), and Tara had some other medical stuff happen to her, so I had her stay over my house on Friday to help her feel better. Not that I had any choice - poor dear passed out at around 8:30 and didn't wake up until well after 11PM, when I was getting ready for bed (exciting life and times of Savvysunshine!).

We hung out together almost all day Saturday, much to the chagrin of my mother (Hi mom!). Had an interesting convo regarding this blog; actually, my mom and Tara had an interesting talk and I stayed out of it. Whatevs!

Later, over Tara's house, we had some Holiday fun. We watched Xmas movies and drank eggnog. We put up the Christmas tree and strung the lights up on the tree - it's sparkly! I unpacked the ornaments, but it was too late to finish putting them up, so that will be next weekend. We'll also decorate the rest of the house and hang up lights and such. Tara has a really cool patio that she has been dying to decorate. On what would seem like a sad note, this was the first Xmas since Tara's mom died that we have put up a full size tree with all of our old ornaments. It was happy at the same time. (Love you baby!) I am really glad that we are finally getting out shit together and we are spending the Holidays together on the right foot!

Sunday, Tara cooked me breakfast and woke me up so nicely. She knows that I hate to eat hot food immediately after I woke up. Later, we went out to HardRock for an art show, but it was lame, so we headed back. But, you know what we did most of the day? America's Next Top Model Marathon on VH1. You laugh, but I love that show - Tyra rocks! After our ANTM love fest, we hung out over a friend's house for a bit and picked up a new TV (Love you Sara!). And then later, I slept over.

So, all in all, a great weekend!
