What? I get paid to blog?
I think it's time I came clean:
I use PayPerPost!
*gasps and hides from Maidink*
I also have other supposedly money-making thingies (yes, very technical, I know) on my blog. These are otherwise known as Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliates postings. Occassionally, I use other forms, too.
*running screaming from Maidink because she is chasing me with her sarcastic wit and telling me Google Adsense is the devil's spawn*
Calm down Maidink (and everyone else out there who feels the same way)!
Before you get your panties (or boxers if you're like Tara) in a bunch, let me tell you why I choose to monetize my blog. I got bills, I mean lots of bills (I'm talking over $9000 in cc bills, not to include student loans). I also have dreams and aspirations - I want to travel, I want to get married to my baby, hell, I want to afford a ring for my baby. With those bills, my dreams are stifled big time (what the hell can a person do when they pay $400 a month in cc bills?).
So, I use the money that I make to put toward my bills and my dreams.
Is $4 or $5 or even $10 gonna make a huge difference with those bills? Nope, but it will make some difference and that's what matters. Plus, I'm already at work, farting around, so I might as well make some money while I'm doing it.
For what it's worth, I've only made $20 so far because I'm so picky about the opportunities that I choose.
Please note, I will NEVER write a post that I disagree with or that can't somehow be related to my overall topic (granted, I'm pretty good about relating random ish to this blog - remember this?). There are a LOT of posts that I could write that would make me a buttload more money (a few people have made over $3000). But I choose not to. Read my Disclosure policy for more info.
Incidentally, if you'd like to join, use my e-mail address (savvysunshine@hotmail.com) - I get referral money and I'll split it with you if you'd like. I found out about it from one of the many Personal Finance Blogs that I read.
Alright Maidink, let me have it!

Ow! Hey! Watch it! Those things hurt.
But, I'll take it. I was expecting a huge razzing, so I got off way easy.
